R-454B is a low-GWP A2L refrigerant (GWP ≈ 466) developed as the primary long-term replacement for R-410A in new air-conditioning and heat-pump equipment. It offers similar efficiency to R-410A with roughly a quarter of the environmental impact, which is why leading manufacturers have adopted it for F-Gas-compliant systems.
